One Stamp – Three Ways : Season’s Greetings
This week with One Stamp – Three Ways I’m taking a little simpler approach but I think it still shows some awesome versatility. I’m choosing to use a stamp from the Season’s Greetings set from Papertrey Ink.
As the title suggests, I used one stamp on three different tags instead of cards. The first tag utilizes a technique that replicates the look of a chalkboard which is super trendy. The background ornament tag has been die-cut and the sentiment was embossed with white ink before subtly rubbing some white ink around the edges.
White & red baker’s twine hangs from the hole at the top of the tag.
The next tag is similar in shape to the first tag, yet on a slightly smaller scale. It’s less ornamental and more circular but still features the hole at the top with red and white baker’s twine. I chose to stamp the sentiment in red ink with no additional treatment. There’s a thin circle which is indented around the tag which I filled in with a thin black line.
The third and last tag features the sentiment stamped in black ink along with the addition of a trio of die-cut trees. The trees have been stamped and then 3D gems fill in several of the spots that represent ornaments. Instead of baker’s twine, I chose to use natural jute to hang from the tag.
All three tags were photographed on the same green background under the same light. The main difference is based on the characteristics of each of the tags, specifically the shape and color. This one stamp has been stamped in three different colored inks and one’s even been embossed. The additional elements on each of the tags – the gems, the hand-drawn lines, the white background treatment give each tag a unique look. Just one way to get a little more out of your stamps.
This was a quick post, but hopefully useful. 🙂 Tomorrow I’ll be highlighting more recently listed items in the Etsy Shop and I hope you’ll come back and check it out. And hopefully the middle of your week is going well.
T-minus 4 days until the craft show! Woot woot!
