Inspiration Monday : Holiday Goodness
Can you believe that it’s December already?!?
I feel like I’m so behind and yet I feel like this year is just flying by all at the same time!
One of the nice things about the holiday season for me is being able to enjoy it with my mister in our own home. I absolutely love decorating and I think that I tend to go a little above and beyond when it comes to Christmas [and the winter holidays]. In terms of our tree, I’m sticking with a red, silver and black color scheme. I’ve carried this throughout our first floor decor as well. [I’ll update this post later with photos, things are 90% finished and I just can’t bear to post what isn’t 100% complete. Just a little OCD.] I’ve made my own wall art in the past couple years and I’m looking to add some new pieces this year as well. In this post, Elsie made some wall art and I so want to take her spin and make my own with movie quotes. I’m thinking ELF all the way.
Last year I also started a tradition of giving Jon a gift each day from December 1 all the way up to Christmas on the 25th. Generally they are small gifts [like stocking stuffers] but he has seemed to enjoy it and it makes me happy. I’m doing it again this year and I’ll share a photo later this week when everything is all set up [I’m starting this evening so I’m still a little behind!]
Another thing I can’t wait to try out? This recipe for making a potpourri that smells like Christmas. I cannot wait to post how it turns out. All of those ingredients just sound amazing all combined, I can almost smell it now!
Just a quick post today as I’m working on finishing up some of these details and while I feel it was very sporadic, it’s kind of the feeling the holidays evoke, right?!? More soon, like tomorrow when I’ll recap some Etsy Goodness! Hope you’ll come back and check it out.
