Happy Holidays with Two-tone Snowflakes
I think that the first Tuesday in December calls for snowflakes – big, chunky, fluffy snowflakes. In a variety of colors. Therefore, I’m recapping a couple of cards I’ve recently listed in the Etsy Shop.
There are three cards, all the same style but in different colors. I tend to resort back to this technique when I like the way a card works and I want it to appeal to as many people as possible, so I duplicate it in several colors. For me, it works.
First up is the original card that I designed in a perfect winter color scheme – a crisp sky blue. There’s a border around the white panel which features the main sentiment as well as the snowflakes in two different colors. The larger snowflake which is in the background is a subtle grey color and then a smaller, more detailed snowflake matching the color of the card base rests on top. The sentiment “Happy Holidays” is stamped in black ink, layered on top of both of the snowflakes.
The transparency of the inks allows them to blend flawlessly.
When I decided to replicate the card in a second color scheme, I opted for a light purple. For some reason or another it reminds me of little girls’ winter snowsuits and I just adore it. As I previously mentioned, the design of the card is the same, just the color is different.
And up close on the purple version:
And because I love odd numbers, I decided to make one more card in this series. It turned out to be my favorite of the three. It’s a bright turquoise aqua green and it is just gorgeous. It’s so vibrant in real life.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by – I truly do appreciate it. Tomorrow I’ll be back with One Stamp – Three Ways and I hope you’ll be back to check it out.
