Inspiration Monday : Organization
There’s something so inspiring about the month of January and the way that nearly everyone is obsessed with getting a fresh, clean start.
I am one of those people. Not so much in a way of starting over, but getting more organized than I [generally] already am.
I keep my calendar on my iPhone which I always have with me. This however, doesn’t help the mister to know when I’m working freelance downtown since he doesn’t have my iPhone with him. So I’ve been thinking of a way to have a large calender somewhere in the kitchen where it can be both useful and beautiful.
I’ve been searching Pinterest for ideas and one of the best collections of organizational tips, tricks & ideas I’ve found is from my friend Felicia! Here’s her board that is ah.maz.ing. I haven’t started making my own yet because I’m still trying to figure out what elements are essential while which I can live without. Plus, you know, making it pretty & yet – boy friendly. So I’ll keep ya updated on that front.
The other thing that’s got me super stoked, pumped and excited is an upcoming trip to Ikea. How can you not love Ikea?!?
I recently just stumbled across another amazing website that is all about Ikea Hacks. Seriously?!? Ah.Maz.Ing. When I walk in that store I can’t help but get tons of ideas for projects and additions I want to create or make or build for a more organized and perfectly decorated home.
A member of a group I’m in on Facebook posted a photo and I’m totally inspired! This is the Raskog cart and I already own one.
She turned the top drawer/cavity upside-down and put her die cut machine on the top surface. She mentioned putting a sewing machine on top as an alternative to the die cut machine. This would make it storable and portable and I could so, so use another cart. I didn’t know it until I saw it. But I do. Add it to the list.
What’s inspiring you? Anything worth sharing? I would love to know, feel free to send me a link or leave a comment below.
Tomorrow I’ll be back and I’ll be sharing a couple cards I’ve made for a couple different challenges. I hope you come back and visit!
