One Stamp Set – Three Ways : Fancy Footwork
Happy Wednesday y’all!
I’m super pumped to show you three different cards today. The set that I used was on my wishlist from the moment it was released. A month or two ago, I finally gave in and got it and I’m so happy I did! It’s called Fancy Footwork and it’s from – you guessed it – Papertrey Ink.
Here’s the first card:
I used two colors of ink [grey & black] with two sets of the dance steps and repeated them all over the background. I used black ink to stamp the sentiment “it takes two to tango” on a dark pink strip. I punched out two small black hearts to accompany the sentiment. The card base is a bright shade of pink that coordinates with the strip on the top layer.
The second card uses the second set of dance step stamps along with the die-cut word “you” to accompany the stamped sentiment. Once again I used two different colors of ink to represent the female and male dance steps.
The footprints help form a visual triangle around the corner of the card. The sentiment, stamped in black ink reads “sweep me off my feet each & every day”. I love all the stamps included in this set. So glad I finally gave in and bought it!
The third card uses the same dance steps as in the first card. Instead of repeating them, I added two strips of solid cardstock in colors matching the ink of the footsteps. The sentiment along the bottom is stamped in black ink and reads “You make me feel like dancing”.
I think that any color combination would work well with these stamps. The oranges are some of my favorites. And the greens. And the greys. I love them all!
So hopefully you are a little inspired – either to create or to buy this stamp set. Sorry – I’m not sorry for being an enabler. The other card I had hopes to create today for the MFT Color Challenge got put on the back burner when I realized I have more time until the deadline. I love when that happens.
I’ll be back tomorrow and hopefully you’ll stop back again as well!
