Showcase Tuesday Goodness
So once again this post has been delayed til nighttime instead of the typical morning. Life is a little crazy these days, but in a good way!
Here’s the card that I promised yesterday – I made it for the MFT Challenge Sketch Challenge . It isn’t anything super complicated, but I think it’s pretty fun and I already know who I want to send it to!
This was the sketch:
And here’s my take on it!
I switched up the oval shape for a rectangular bracket-like shape and the scallops are slightly different at the bottom of the card. I used a die-cut from Lawn Fawn on top of the bright green rectangle. It’s so scripty and fun! I added three small white dots on each of the letters for a quirky element.
Here’s an up close, detailed photo:
The green shape is elevated off of the card front with these gigantic pop dots that I stumbled upon in my stash. The small black gems add just a little sum-sumthin. All the products I used are listed below.
So that’s that. I’m hoping to have some time tomorrow to make a card using the most recent color combo for the challenge from MFT or maybe the challenge over at PTI this week. Either way, I need some time in the office/studio! A friend requested a card for her friend’s 21st birthday and another friend wants some help with her son’s birthday party and then there’s catching up with the 200 photos I printed from Vegas! I am so, so looking forward to LOAD215! Woot woot I say!
On a non-entirely-crafty note, it was awesome to spend some time with my momma today! She showed me a couple tricks for using my [new-but-two-years-old] sewing machine. Yes, I got it for Christmas from Jon in 2013 and it came out of the box a couple weeks ago. I was really struggling with it, but now with a little practice, I’m sure I’ll pick it up pretty quickly. At least my fingers are crossed for that.
Thanks for stopping by!
[At some point tomorrow] I’ll post three cards all made with the same stamp set!
