Inspiration Monday & Updates
As I mentioned last week, I’ve been crazy busy! I had the privilege of designing and creating save-the-dates for my friend Jeanette. Here’s a little collage of photos. I used an amazing technique that I learned from the even more amazing Jennifer McGuire with silver foiling & my laminator.
They turned out amazing. I love making people happy and these invites make me happy and so yay!
I’m always up for a challenge and learning this technique was perfect. Perfect timing and perfect execution. And now I’ve got so, so many ideas for projects!
Whenever my friend Kelly needs a card for anything – birthday, get well, thank you – whatever the reason, she always asks me to make it. It’s an awesome feeling to have people who not only appreciate what you do, but who look forward to passing it on every chance they get. This is a snippet of a birthday card that I made for Kelly and I love the combination of the aqua and the gold. I’m not usually a fan of gold, but I’m slowly falling in love with it. Add in sequins and it’s a little over the top, but in a good way.
So that’s a couple updates of what I’ve been working on creatively. Non-creative life has been just as crazy, working tons at the restaurant. I’m thinking a vacation might need to be in order sometime soon!
I’ve gotten sucked in to the television show, Breaking Bad [thanks to Jon] and it’s awesome. I got him a book for Christmas that’s like a companion book and I kinda stole it from him and have been reading as I watch and it’s so addicting. People talk about binge watching – I so get it now. I highly recommend it. It’s on Netflix. Start now. A. Maz. Ing.
As far as things that are currently inspiring me, there are a few!
The new Zac Brown Band album, Jekyll & Hyde is freaking incredible. Every single song is so different than the last and I can’t stop listening to it. And it’s perfect for blasting with the windows down and the moonroof open. The weather has been absolutely perfect for it – high 60’s! We’re headed to their concert at the end of the month and it can’t come fast enough. So, so exciting.
Speaking of amazing weather, I can’t wait to plant my garden and set up our deck with new lights and furniture. I can’t wait to plant seeds and baby plants and watch them grow! I’m so inspired by all the fun and colorful plants and furniture at Target & Lowe’s. I’ve had an almost impossible time trying not to buy all the things.
I’ve also been working on catching up on our Project Life album and telling our stories and sharing our photos and that in itself is inspiring. I’m working on updating our year so far and actually creating pages that tell the adventures from Vegas. It’s been invigorating and I’m anxious to share more details.
So now that I’ve rambled [sorry, it’s a habit] I’m gonna end this post. Tomorrow I’ll be back with several things I’ve been working on – photos included. Happy Monday!
