Inspiration Monday : Pinterest does it again
Happy Monday friends! I hope your week is off to a fantastic start!
Aside from one ear still being slightly blocked, I’m feeling great and am looking forward to a productive week! I’ve got big plans and lists galore of things to work on for upcoming shows! Today’s post will be a quick one with just a few random things that are currently inspiring me, mostly all from the wonderful world of Pinterest.
First up, how perfect is this color scheme for fall? And for the holidays?
I’ve never been a huge fan of the color red, but I think these tones would look amazing on a card with a big, bold sentiment and then subtle accent stamping! I’m definitely going to have to find a way to make it happen! I also love that the far left color could go either towards a deep olive green or a dark brown. I think that both would look fabulous. The image above is from my Pinterest board, Color Inspiration and here’s the direct link to the image.
Also from Pinterest is this great card:
I really like the background blending on the leaf, made to replicate the changing colors of the seasons. The added veins that are layered on top are an interesting twist. I have the die-cut that is used to make the word “grateful” and I would have never thought to add a dash of glitter like this crafter did – although I think I might have chosen a darker color for the word. The addition of the twine gives it a rustic feel and I feel pulls it all together. There’s definitely some elements that are super inspiring to me! Here’s the pin.
I’ve had my Silhouette Cameo for a few years now and while I love everything that I can make with it, I haven’t even begun to touch on the mountain of potential it possesses. One thing that I know it is capable of is helping to create t-shirts by cutting transfer material so that letters/shapes/designs can be applied to the shirt. I’ve been pinning clever sayings and designs on Pinterest for quite awhile and I’m anxious to figure out how to use it for this purpose so I can make my own version of this shirt:
It’s a true statement, I don’t really hate anyone, I just prefer to be by myself, or around like two people. Introverts unite…or something like that.
I’m a big fan of Pinterest because no matter what you are looking for, [or don’t even know you are looking for], there are so, so many ideas to take in! Inspiration is everywhere and it’s one of my favorite things to check out when I need a little boost. What’s your go-to for inspiration?
For now, I’m off to get started on my to-do list, but I’ll be back soon and I hope you will be too!
