Craft Show Week Preview [& updates]
So-ignoring the fact that it’s been 9 months since my last post, the exciting news is that it’s Craft Show Week!
Add to that, I’ve got more than a handful of updates. [The past nine months have been productive!] I think I will start with a few details.
After the end of last craft show season, I took a little break with personal creating through the end of the year. I just felt like my mojo disappeared. I started off the new year with some custom invitations for a wedding, followed by some baby shower invites and then more save the dates and wedding invitations. Due to the [somewhat] secretive nature and privacy of my clients, I was unable to show sneak peeks. These projects took a ton of time, but I’m super proud of the way they turned out! Now that everything has taken place, I’ll be able to show some finished photos-in a post soon to come.
I went through a several week-long ordeal with my laptop. It started with issues with my computer not responding to certain programs, then it dealt with my computer not turning on at all. When I could get it to turn on, I would just leave it on in fear of it not being able to work properly again. All seemed fine and everything was working for a few weeks, so I turned it off. Big mistake. I tried to turn it back on a few days later and while I heard it turn on, it wouldn’t officially start and the screen was blank. My dad has a guy he’s used before so I took my computer to him and while he was able to save everything from my hard drive [like my music and ALL my photos-yay!] he confirmed that it was officially dead. Sooooo, I gave in and got a new one. It’s amazing how much things change in 9 years-this one is the same model but is so sleek and shiny and perfect. I love it. I’m also a HUGE fan of these skins for my keyboard-they not only add a splash of color, they protect it from dirt and dog fur. I’m so happy to have something that works & that looks pretty!
While I’ve kept up on taking lots of photos each day, I’ve been horrible about getting them printed and keeping up to date with our Project Life album. I am working on a huge order of photos for Persnickety and I’m itching to fill in all the details of our 2016 story. I’ll share photos and details of the process in an upcoming post.
I’ve got some pretty big life news to share, but I’m going to save that for another upcoming post. It’s chock full of details and a back story so I feel as though it deserves more than just a few lines. 🙂
Like the title of this post shares, it’s Craft Show Week!
This is the first year that I am participating in a Fall Craft Show for the Made Local Marketplace in Columbus. Last year I was a part of the Holiday Show, so I’m anxious to see how different the fall show is. I’m excited because I’m able to have both Halloween and Thanksgiving products-the past shows have been too late in the season.
The show is this upcoming Saturday and I’m still continuing to add new product to my stash. It seems like every flat surface in my house has become a work area for me. I’ve got stamps and ink on one table, my paper cutter and die cut machine on another, my office has become an assembly line of packing and labeling-I love this time of year!
I’ll be sharing photos in the next few posts, but I’ve been adding a few onto my Instagram account as well-feel free to check them out! For now, it’s back to the grind while I have natural daylight!
